Our Story
Welcome! We are Tony & Abbey Cannon, owners of That Rub LLC. We have been married since 2002, and are both avid cooks. (I wasn't when we met, but we'll save that story for another day!)
Tony created That Rub- Original around 2012. He worked as a cook for over 15 years and then attended culinary school at The Art Institute of Nashville. He has an amazing gift to create exquisite flavor combinations-a true flavor genius, in my humble opinion!
Our Original Blend came from years of tweaking until it was PERFECT! He has since created six additional seasoning blends, each with different flavor palettes. All of our products are Gluten-Free, Vegan, and have no added preservatives.
Proudly Black and Woman-owned, there is much more to That Rub than just delicious seasoning blends. We are committed to our customers and community, and embrace a circular economy, empowered by transparency, diversity, and inclusion.
