That Rub Chili


Ingredients:

2 lbs. Round Steak

¾ cup That Rub- Original

2 lbs. ground beef

¼ cup That Rub - Holiday Blend

2 medium onions, chopped

1 Tbsp. That Rub - That HEAT

2 cans diced tomatoes (chili starter flavored, if available)

1 can tomato paste

2 cups water

½ cup That Rub Master Blend

1 can cannellini beans (white kidney beans)

1 can red kidney beans

1 can black beans

½ cup canned pumpkin


Directions:

Season round steak with That Rub Original, patting seasoning on generously. Place in Instapot/Pressure Cooker on sear until browned on each side, flipping after 5 minutes or so. Change setting to pressure cook, seal the lid and cook for 20 minutes, immediately releasing the pressure with vent after the 20minutes. Allow to cool on cutting board and chop into bite-size pieces.

Next, brown ground beef using That Rub Holiday Blend to season. Remove beef from grease and place in a separate bowl. In the same pan, sauté chopped onion along with 1 Tbsp. That Rub That HEAT until translucent.

In a large pot, combine both cooked meats, onion, and all remaining ingredients. The pumpkin can be added last and is used as a thickening agent, instead of flour. Simmer for approximately 1 hour or until all flavors and ingredients have combined to desired taste. Add additional That Rub seasonings to taste (i.e. more That HEAT if you like it spicy!).
